Welcome to the pictures of the Scafell Pike climb of July 3rd 2006. Visitors will be interested to know that it was completed in great style, with hikers arriving at the summit in dinner jackets, bow ties and in good shape to partake of a champagne lunch pepapred by the army catering dept. The climb was instigated in response to the need for a new WHEELCHAIR for a work colleague of the climbers. Needing a total of over £3000 the climbers faced a steep rugged climb in very hot temperatures on one of the hotest days of the year. In fact, it was so hot, that you can see some of the climbers enjoyed a relaxing swim on the way down.
